iPhone vs. Android phones or iOS vs. Android has been a debatable topic ever since both the collided for the first time. Most people are still obsessed with iPhone whereas Android users simply can’t stop praising the performance upgrades on the other hand. While this is a debatable topic and looks like it will be for a long time, we have something new for you which will simply blow away your mind or maybe let’s just say surprise you. If you have been one of those users, who likes both Android as well as iOS and wants the best of both the worlds, then this Kickstarter project is just the right one for you.
‘Eye’ is a case for your iPhone which has Android built into it. Yes, this unique design approach has gotten it so much attention that it has successfully raised over $95,000 with 32 days remaining. And just as you read above, it is literally a case with a screen at the back running Android by itself. This part of the case which runs Android has its own set of hardware and it only shares the camera, the speakers and the microphone of the iPhone.
Talking about this secondary screen at the back, it is a 5″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and it is running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Under the hood, there is an Helio P20 chipset with an Octa-Core CPU and also has a Mali-T880 MP2 900MHz GPU. If you think that is an impressive package, then wait till you know get to know that it has wireless charging capability and an Always-On display as well. Other hardware specs include 3GB of RAM, 2,800 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage which is also expandable via a microSD card upto 256GB.
The list of the specs is never ending as you are also getting NFC and two SIM card slots to use. On top of all this, there is also a 3.5mm Headphone jack which is something that even the new iPhones don’t have. But yes, you can use this case with the new iPhones as well as it is available in two sizes and should perfectly well for Apple iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus. If you wish to get your hands on this, then all you have to do is, simply pledge in $129 and get it with 4G connectivity.
The cases will start shipping in September of this year, however, if you want them early, then all you have to do is pledge in $20 more and get it a month early before other get to use. It is also worth noting that if the funds reach $500,000, the case will be fitted with 10,000 mAh battery.
