Intex has launched a new affordable ‘Aqua 4G‘ smartphone in the market. As the name suggest, the device comes with 4G LTE support and is priced at just Rs. 4,499. The device is said to offer VoLTE on top of LTE where the users can get clear audio in low signal areas. While not all the carriers in India are offering VoLTE, the Reliance Jio as announced earlier offers both VoLTE and VoWiFi. Even Reliance has launched few smartphones under the LYF brand that supports VoLTE & VoWiFi.

At such a low price, the device packs basic specifications and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution display and is mentioned to come with a glass protection on top. Interestingly, the display on this device can recognise only one finger which means you can’t pan to zoom and might miss many other features since most of the games now-a-days require multi-touch support. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6735M quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz.

It has just 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage out of which only 609MB is only available to the end user. There is a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 32GB. On the camera front, it has a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera. The device is backed by a 1,700mAh battery that is rated to deliver 6 hours of talk time and lasts upto 240 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

You can find many bloatware apps pre-installed on this device like Intex Store, OLX, Opera mini, Newshunt, and more. It measures 125.4 x 64.5 x 10 mm and weighs 110 grams. The device will be available in Grey and Gold color options, but the availability of the device is still unknown. Stay tuned for more info about the device.
