Infocus, the US smartphone manufacturer launched a new mid-range smartphone called ‘Infocus M808.’ The company has announced the device in July along with Infocus M370, M5503D, and M812. Earlier this week, the company has officially launched the M812 with Snapdragon 801 SoC and 3GB of RAM for Rs.19,999. With all metal body and rounded edges, the device feels premium in hand. On the back, it has a black strap which hold the rear camera and LED flash; the rumored Huawei Nexus 6P also has the same design.
The device comes with 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display that gives good viewing angles. Under the hood, is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz that can handle most the games and apps without any issues. The 2GB RAM is has been almost made mandatory at this price range and also has 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
Coming to the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash. On the front it has a 5MP front facing camera with rich camera modes that is more than an sufficient for selfies and video calls. There is a non-removable battery of 2,450mAh capacity that gives 11 hours of talk time and can last upto 350 hours on standby. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based InLife UI 2.0.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE connectivity but limited to only one SIM. It has dual microphone for noise reduction and also supports USB OTG. Apart from 4G LTE, the other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro USB 2.0.
The device is priced at Rs.12,999 and will be available in the colors – Mysterious Silver and Cool Gold. The registration for the sale begins on October 2nd and the first flash sale will be held on October 6th exclusively on Snapdeal. The Infocus M808 is one the device to sport such a premium build quality under Rs.15,000 price range.
