iBall the brand known for budget-range smartphones has come with a new Phablet, i.e., the Gorgeo 4GL priced at Rs 5999. It has a 7-inch IPS display with 169 PPI and 1024 x 600 pixels as its resolution and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The device comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded up to 32 Gb using an external Micro SD Card support. It comes powered by a 3500 mAh Li-Poly battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. The device sports a 8 MP rear camera with Full HD Video Recording and LED Flash and the front camera on the device is 5 MP.     iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL

    iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL is a 7-inch phablet and comes with a SIM Card support. To insert a SIM card on your device, power off your device if you have booted the device and remove the panel. Now insert the SIM card on their respective port as per the marked direction on the panel and restart your device. You have successfully inserted SIM card on your device, and it will be ready for use in some time.

    What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

    iBall Slide is a dual-SIM Phablet and supports 4G connectivity. The SIM card supported by the device is normal SIM card and a Micro SIM Card.

    How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

    Sharing of the data network can be done using the tethering mode on your device. To share a data network on your device, open the Settings and tap on More Settings in Wireless & Network. In the new window, tap on Tethering & Portable Hotspot and click on Wi-Fi hotspot. In the Wi-Fi hotspot window, toggle the off button to enable the option on your device. The SSID name and password can be set by tapping on Set up Wi-Fi hotspot.

    How to take a Screenshot on my Gionee S Plus?

    Screenshot saves the information on the screen in the form of an image which may be in jpeg or png format. There are two ways in which you can capture a screenshot on your device.

    Method 1: This is the regular method of capturing a screenshot. In this method you need to press the power button along with the volume down button to capture a screenshot. The captured screenshot is saved to the gallery window on your device.

    Method 2: In this method, press the power button firmly until the power window appears on the screen. The power window comes with four options, Power Off, Reboot, Screenshot and Airplane Mode. Now tap on screenshot. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery window. For a quick access, you can use the image from the notification panel, just by sliding down the notification panel.

    How to check for the Android Updates on the device?

    Android Updates help in fixing the bugs on your device and improving the performance of your device. To check for Android updates, open the settings and tap on About iBall Slide, which is at the bottom of the screen. In the new window, tap on iBall OTA. The device checks for updates and if there is no update, then a message stating No Update Available is displayed on the screen. Alternatively, you can tap on iBall OTA app directly to check for updates on your device.

    How to Install external apps with apk files on the device?

    Android Software system is designed in such a way that it doesn’t allow permissions to install the external Apps on your device. To install an app with an external apk on your iBall Slide, open the settings and tap on Security in the personal section. In the new window, tap on Unknows sources option and click on the OK button in the pop-up to enable that on your device. Now you can install any app with external apk without any interruption on your device.

    How to customize the Quick Settings the Notification Panel?

    The quick settings in the notification panel cannot be customized on this device.

    How to use the Power saving modes on the Gionee S Plus?

    Power saving mode is used to improve the battery life on your device in case of low battery conditions and emergency conditions. To enable this option on your device, open the Settings and tap on Battery in the device section. In the new window, tap on the three-dotted button at the top right of the screen and click on battery saver. Now toggle the off button to enable that on your device. There is an option turn on automatically using which the battery saver will be automatically switched on when the battery is at 5% or 15% depending upon your selection.

    The device also comes with two additional power saving modes i.e., Smart Power and Custom Power. These are customizable power saving modes and to use on your device, open the settings and head over to the System section and click on Power Saving Mode. Now tap on the power saving mode that you want to use and toggle the off button to enable them on your device.

    What are the sensors available on the phone?

    Acceleration, Magnetic Field, and orientation are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device.

    Are there LED notification lights on the device?

    There are no LED notification lights available on the device.

    How to use the Screen pinning feature on the Gionee S Plus?

    Screen Pinning features is available on the devices with Android Lollipop on it. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on Security in the personal section. In the new window, head over to the bottom of the screen and tap on screen pinning in the advanced section and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. Now open the overview window and tap on the pin button at the bottom of the screen for the app that you want to pin on home screen. To unpin your pinned screen, you need to press & hold the back and overview button for about 2-3 seconds. The app is successfully unpinned from your home screen.

    What are the Pre-installed Apps on the device?

    The device comes with File Manager, backup & restore, Browser, FM Radio, iBAll OTA, few bloatwares and all the Google related Apps pre-installed on it.

    Can I Move apps from phone storage to SD card on this device?

    Yes, there is an option available on the device using which you can move the app from internal to external storage on your device. But there no such option where you can move the pre-installed apps on your device. To move the other apps, open the settings and tap on Apps in the device section. In the new window, tap on the app that you want to move and click on Move to SD Card. The app is successfully moved from internal storage to external SD card on your device.

    What are the bloatware applications on the device?

    360 Security, Accu Weather, All Start cricket free, Asphalt Nitro, Bubble Bash 3, Excel, Facebook, Follo, Hungama, Kamaal Dhamaal, Motocross m MX Player, NewsHunt, Powerpoint, Spider-Man, TOI, Whats App, MS Word and Opera Mini are the bloatware apps that come pre-installed on your device.

    Can I remove the bloatware apps from the device?

    Yes, the bloatware apps can be removed by uninstalling them from your device. To remove bloatware apps on your device, open the Settings and tap on Apps in the device section. In the App Manager window, tap on the app that you want to remove and click on Uninstall button to remove the app from your device. The other way of removing an app is press and hold the app firmly until the uninstall option appears. Now drag the app over to the uninstall button and click on the OK button in the pop-up to remove the app from your device.

    How much the internal storage on the Gionee S Plus?

    The device comes with 8GB as its internal storage and out which 4.02 GB is total space available. And out that 4.02 GB around 2.79 GB of free space is available for the user and reset of space is occupied by pre-installed apps.

    The device comes with 1GB of RAM out of the box and around 518 MB Of free RAM is available when no apps are running on the device. The remaining RAM is used by System and pre-installed apps i.e., 260 MB and 147 MB respectively.

    What are the Gesture options available on the device?

    The device comes with a few screen-off gestures which are used to open the applications directly from your black screen, i.e., when the screen is off. To use these gestures on your device, open the Settings and tap on Gesture Control in the System section. In the new window, you will find five options double click, sliding up, sliding down, sliding to the left and sliding to the right. To use these options, you need to toggle the button adjacent to them to enable them on your device. The functions for slide up, down, right and left can be set by tapping on them and selecting the option that you want to use.

    How to enable the Developer mode on your device?

    The device comes with developer options using which you can be come an Android Developer. To use this option on your device, open the Settings and tap on About iBall Slide, which is at the bottom of the screen. In the new window, tap on the build number for about 7-8 times continuously to enable the option on your device. The developer option is enabled on your device and appears on the settings window, just above the About iBall Slide section.

    How to change the Audio Profile on your device?

    If you are using any smartphone or tablet, you need to set the Sound Profile according to your surroundings. The device comes with 4 Audio Profiles, i.e., General (Ring & Vibrate), Silent (Mute), Meeting (Vibrate Only), Outdoor (Loud, Ring and Vibrate). There two ways in which you can changed the sound profile.
    Method 1: In this method, open the notification panel and tap on the Audio Profile. All the profiles are displayed on the screen. Now tap on the profile that you want to use and tap on it. The profile is thus enabled on your device.

    Method 2: In this method, open the settings and tap on Audio Profile in the device section. In the new window, you find the list of the sound profiles with a check box adjacent to it. Now tap on the checkbox to change the sound profile on your device. The settings in any sound profile can be customized by tapping on the settings icon for the profile which you have selected.
