iBall is always known for its budget smartphones in India and has recently launched a new smartphone Andi HD 6. The device comes powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It sports a 6-inch IPS display and runs on Android 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. If you purchased this device then here are tips and tricks that can help you in exploring your device with ease.
Insertion of SIM card on Andi HD 6 is a simple process. Firstly, switch off your device and firmly hold the device with back panel facing down. Now pull the SIM cover from the top of the device, until it disengages from the device. Further, you can find the SIM card slots on the panel. Now insert the SIM card and place the back cover and boot your device. you have successfully inserted SIM card on your device and it will be ready to use in sometime.
It is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby and both the SIM cards supports 3G Network. The device comes combination of Normal SIM card and micro SIM card.
Sharing of the internet over a device can be done with the help of tethering mode on your device. To enable this feature on your device, Open the settings, Tap on more settings in wireless and networks and click on tethering & portable hotspot. In the new window tap on portable hotspot and toggle the button to enable that on your device. The network name and password can also be set for your device by tapping on setup Wi-Fi hotspot.
Capturing a screenshot on device is simple. To capture a screenshot, you need to press the volume down button along with power/lock key. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery. The other way to capture a screenshot on the device is you need to press the power button until the power window pop-out. Now tap on the screen capture button. The screen shot is captured and saved to the gallery.
External apk can be installed by enabling the Uknown sources option on your device. To enable this option on your device, open the settings and tap on Security in the personal section. Now headover to device administration and tap on Unknown sources and click on OK button in the pop-up to enable that on your device.
The quick settings in the notification panel cannot be customized on this device.
Power saving mode is helpful in improving the battery life your device in case of emergency. To enable this on your device, open the Settings and tap on power saving mode in the device section. You can find two options power saving mode and low power mode. Power saving mode is the normal power saving mode where you can customize the few options to extend the battery life. Low power mode is one such option that turn off all power functions to extend the using time. To activate them on your device toggle the button adjacent to them.
Acceleration, Light, and Proximity are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device.
There is no LED notification lights available on the device.
Screen pinning feature is available on the devices that come with Android Lollipop on them pre-installed. The device comes with Android 4.4.2, hence there is no screen pinning feature available on the device.
There is an option where you can move apps from internal to an external SD card on your device. To move an app on your device, Open Settings, and tap on Apps in the device section. In the new window tap on the app that you want to move. In the app info window, tap on Move to Move to External Storage. The app is successfully moved from internal to external storage. In a similar way, you can move an app from external to internal storage by tapping on Move to Phone.
The device comes with 8 GB as internal storage out of which around 3Gb of internal Space is available for the user and rest of space is occupied by OS and pre-installed apps.
The device comes with 1GB RAM and out of which 618 MB of free RAM is available when no apps are running on the device.
Android updates help in improving the performance of the device by fixing the bugs. To check for updates, Open the iBall OTA app by tapping on it from the app drawer. The device checks for updates and if there is no update on the device then a message stating No Update available on the screen.
