The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has now made the new Y7 Prime smartphone official. This new Y7 Prime is the successor to the previously launched Y6 prime smartphone that came out last year. Also, this new Y7 Prime smartphone is now listed on the company’s website which us more info about the specs of the same.
Talking about the specs of this smartphone, we are looking at a 5.5″ IPS in-cell display on the front. This display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 which makes it just an HD display. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC which is an octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.4GHz. This is coupled with 3GB of RAM and it also has 32GB of internal storage which should be good enough to store most of your apps, media, etc.
The Huawei Y7 Prime is running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the company’s custom EMUI 5.1 on top of it. The different sensor in the smartphone includes a Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Compass, Gravity sensor, Phone status indicator, Fingerprint sensor, etc. Other connectivity options includes, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 2.4GHz + Bluetooth® 4.1+ BLE + micro USB, etc.
This whole package is kept powered by a 4,000 mAh battery which should be good enough to keep the whole package powered for at least a day or two easily considering that it doesn’t have any power hungry internals. Well, now talking about the price of the smartphone, it has been launched in Hong Kong and it is priced at HK $1880 which roughly translates to about 16,000 INR. As of now, we have no confirmation if this will ever make it out of Hong Kong and even if it does, we aren’t sure if the company will launch this anytime soon in India.
