Last year, Huawei launched the Huawei Watch GT and Huawei Band 3 Pro alongside the Huawei Mate 20 series. The company is also bringing the Huawei Watch GT to the Indian market on March 12th. It will be available exclusively on Amazon India. With the Watch GT, the company has ditched Google’s Wear OS platform. According to the latest reports, the company will launch two new versions of Huawei Watch GT alongside the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones on March 26th.

These new versions of Watch GT will be called as Huawei Watch GT Active and the Huawei Watch GT Elegant. While we will mostly see the same internals as on the original Watch GT, the company might use a lithium-polymer battery instead of a lithium-ion battery. The Watch GT running on the company’s proprietary OS called Light OS doesn’t support any third-party apps. We hope the company adds support at least for a few key apps.

While the Huawei Watch GT Active will be available in Dark Green and Orange, the Watch GT Elegant comes in White and Black. They will be coming with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 254 pixels resolution. Just like the original Watch GT, these new versions might also be water resistant up to 50M. Coming to the pricing, the Huawei Watch GT Active and Watch GT Elegant will be costing EUR 249 (approx USD 280 / INR 19,500) and EUR 229 (approx USD 257 / INR 18,000) respectively.

Also, the company might add Bluetooth 5.0 support for a more reliable connection. The company claims the Watch GT to give up to two weeks of battery life with a single charge. Let’s wait and see how the company will differentiate these new smartwatches from the earlier launched Watch GT. We will be knowing the complete specifications along with the pricing and avaiability on March 26th. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
