Huawei has started rolling out Android Pie based EMUI 9 update to its P20, P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro smartphones in Europe. The company launched its Android 9 Pie Beta program a couple of months back and now the final version is available for the listed devices. The update will be rolled out in stages and the user needs to wait a few more hours before it hits their device.

The user can always check for the update manually if you can’t wait for the OTA to hit your device by going to the setting menu of the phone and then heading to system updates. Make sure the charge on the smartphone is more than 60 percent and back up all the important data. The new software will be bringing new gesture-based navigation options to its users along with a redesigned Quick Settings.

We can also find a few improvements in the UI and it will also bring Adaptive Battery, Adaptive brightness, Dark Mode and few other flavors that come along with Android Pie update. Moreover, once this handset gets the update, the rest of the Mate 10 smartphones along with Honor Play, Honor 10 and Honor View 10 will be getting the update. Huawei will also roll out the update to its Mate 9 and P10 smartphone lineup in early 2019.

The Android Pie flavor will also bring HiVision and HiTouch features which will give its users more information about an object just by pointing the camera towards it. The rollout for the other market should also happen very soon but nothing has been mentioned about it as of now. Do you own any of these handsets? If yes, Did you receive the update? What are the chang-logs that you have noticed? Comment in the section below and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more news and updates.
