Android 9.0 Pie update is now available for Asus Zenfone 5 smartphone and this update can be found on the company’s official website. The user needs to download the package from the official website and download the file to the microSD card. You can also wait for an OTA update from the company if you are not in any hurry. Asus also stated that Zenfone 5Z will be getting the Android Pie update by the end of January 2019.
The size of the download is 1.1GB and it could be downloaded to the microSD card. After the download is completed, go to the recovery mode and then choose to apply updates from the microSD card, now select the downloaded package and confirm to install in on to the smartphone. Make sure, the charge on the device is more than 60 percent and do back up all your important data.
The Zenfone 5 was announced earlier this year, in the month of February and came with 6.2-inch 1080 x 2246 pixels display. Out of the box, it came with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box and is powered with an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in 4GB or 6GB RAM options along with 64GB of internal storage that can be extended further up to a maximum of 512 GB via microSD card slot.
In the front, there is an 8MP camera and while on the rear, we can find a 12MP main sensor along with an 8MP secondary camera with Dual-LED flash and HDR. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear and comes with a type-C USB charging port. To power the handset, there is a 3300mAh battery and has connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, A-GPS and more. Did you update your device?
