Huawei had made some nicest smartphones this year including the latest Huawei P30 Pro, its flagship smartphone, which is a successor to the last year’s successful P20 Pro smartphone. The company had launched Huawei P30 series early this year and the flagship Huawei P30 Pro has been launched in India this April for Rs 71,990. The flagship smartphone had shipped with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, which is further modified with EMUI 9.1.
The flagship Huawei P30 Pro is said to be getting a new update that brings in significant features announced during the launch. The flagship is getting its latest firmware update that brings in the much anticipated Dual View camera mode along with the AR Measure app. For those unaware, the Huawei P30 Pro now can support Dual View mode, which utilizes the phone’s primary camera and the zoom camera to capture dual video side-by-side in a single video. This dual video recording support for the Huawei P30 Pro has already been available in the Chinese variants of the flagships. And, now with the firmware update rollout, Indian Huawei P30 Pro can also play around with this new feature.
Another significant feature rolling out to the Huawei P30 Pro with the new update is the AR Measure app. As the name suggests, it can be used to measure using AR and Time of Flight camera on the rear. With the AR Measure app, users can measure surface areas, lengths of the objects or lines and volumes of the objects such as boxes and can also be used to measure the height of a person as well. The company suggests that any measurement calculated using the AR Measure app is almost said to be correct with a marginal error of around 1%. The same AR Measure app has been around in the iPhones for quite a while now iPhones explicitly running on iOS 12.
These two updates are said to be rolling out to Huawei P30 Pro phones in India. To recall, the P30 Pro comes with a 6.47-inch AMOLED display, and the device runs on Huawei’s Kirin 980 SoC followed by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The P30 Pro features quad rear cameras comprising of a 40MP primary camera paired with an 8MP telephoto lens and 16MP ultra wide lens in addition to the ToF camera as mentioned earlier.
