Huawei P Smart Z Smartphone with Pop-up Selfie Camera Leaked

Earlier this year, Vivo and OPPO launched their latest mid-range smartphones with complete bezel-less display and pop-up selfie camera. Even the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro is rumored to come with the same design. Till date, we haven’t seen a Huawei or Honor smartphone with a pop-up selfie. The Honor Magic 2 came with a slider mechanism to offer notch-less display. However, the newly leaked renders of the upcoming Huawei P Smart Z reveals it to become the first Huawei smartphone to offers a pop-up selfie camera.

The device comes with a glossy finish 3D curved design and will be available in Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sapphire Blue color options. Surprisingly, the device comes in a two-tone color instead of a gradient finish. On the front, the Huawei P Smart Z comes with a 6.59-inch Ultra Fullview display with Full HD (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Since the display comes with no notch or bezel, its should higher screen-to-body ratio than the flagship Huawei P30 smartphones. On the top, we can spot the physical earpiece for taking calls.

Under the hood, the device comes powered by the same old 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor. It comes with 4x Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The Mali-G51 GPU along with GPU Turbo 2.0 will look after the gaming performance. While it is mentioned to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, we might also see a couple of other storage variants as well. The device runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie-baed EMUI 9.1 out of the box. There is also a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device.

Talking about the cameras, the Huawei P Smart Z comes with a dual camera setup featuring 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it comes with a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable and might support only 10W charging input. From the above-featured image, we can see both the volume rocker and power button on the right edge. It is also mentioned to come with a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting standard earphones or headphones

The Huawei P Smart Z measures 163.5 x 77.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 197 grams. According to the source, the 4GB RAM variant will be priced at EUR 210 (approx USD 233  / INR 16,400) in Europe.
