Vivo recently launched the high-end Vivo X27 Pro smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera in China. Now, the company is getting ready to unveil a new budget smartphone. A new smartphone with the model number V1730GA just got certified by TENAA. While there is no official information about the device, it could be launched exclusively in China in the coming weeks. As seen with the recently launched Vivo smartphones, the upcoming Vivo V1730GA also sports a 3D curved polycarbonate body with a glossy finish.
According to the TENAA listing, the device will be available in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black color options. Talking about the specifications, the Vivo V1730GA comes with a 6.26-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.95GHz. We expect the company to use the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset over the MediaTek ones. The device will be available in 4GB and 6GB of RAM variants with 64GB of internal storage.
It also comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. Talking about the cameras, it sports a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear with LED flash and a 16MP single camera on the front for selfies. The device runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie based FunTouch OS 9.0 out of the box. It measures 154.81 × 75.03 × 7.89 mm and weighs around 149 grams. The Vivo V1730GA will be backed by a 3,180mAh non-removable battery. We don’t think the device will support fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. On the rear, we can spot the fingerprint scanner. The device should also come with face unlock support. Looking at the current lineup, the Vivo V1730GA might launch under the Vivo Y-series.
