Huawei Nova 4 with 25MP In-display Front Camera & 48MP Triple Rear Cameras Launched

As teased earlier, Huawei today launched the Huawei Nova 4 smartphone at an event held in China. The company also mentioned that the Nova series overall sales have crossed the 65 million mark. Earlier this month, Huawei’s online-exclusive brand Honor officially unveiled the Honor View 20 (a.k.a Honor V20) smartphone with the in-display camera. Not only the in-display camera, the new Huawei Nova 4 shares a lot of features in common with the Honor View 20.

Talking about the design, the rear of the Nova 4 looks similar to the Huawei P20 Pro with the curved glass back body and triple camera setup. Just like the Honor View 20, the Huawei Nova 4 also comes with a 48MP rear camera. While the high-end variant comes with 48MP + 16MP + 2MP triple camera setup on the rear, the standard variant sports 20MP + 16MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup.

While the Honor View 20 packs the latest 7nm Kirin 980 processor, the Huawei Nova 4 settles with the last-gen 10nm Kirin 970 processor. The device comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with EMUI skin laid on top. Since the device comes with the in-house Kirin chipset, the device also offers GPU Turbo 2.0 technology for a better gaming experience.

For selfies, there is a 25MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and EIS support. The device sports a 6.4-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2310 × 1080 pixels) resolution. It is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery that also supports Huawei’s QuickCharge technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

It measures 157.0 x 75.1 x 7.77 mm and weighs 172 grams. The Huawei Nova 4 will be available in Red, Blue, Black, and White color options. Coming to the pricing, the standard variant with a 20MP primary camera costs CNY 3099 (approx USD 450 / INR 32,000). On the other hand, the Huawei Nova 4 with a 48MP primary sensor is priced slightly higher at CNY 3399 (approx USD490 / INR 35,000). Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
