HTC has announced its Desire 12s smartphone which will be the sibling of the HTC Desire 12 which was launched earlier this year. The handset will be available in Black, Red, and Silver color variants and is priced at NT$ 5990 (approx Rs. 14,000) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is available NT$ 6990 (approx Rs. 16,000). The device is already on sale in Taiwan but as of now, there is no word on the global roll out.
Coming to the specs sheet, the Desire 12s will be coming with a Dual SIM support with a fingerprint sensor on the rear. On the front side, we can find a 5.7-inch (1440 x 720 pixel) HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core snapdragon 435 SoC with four cores clocking at 1.4 GHz while the rest of the cores clocked at 1.1 GHz.
The handset will be available in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option as well as 4GB RAM + 64GB variant which can be extended further via microSD card slot. Out of the box, it will be coming with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with HTC Sense UI on top and might get further updates. There is a 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash along with a 13MP selfie camera with LED flash.
The handset supports 4G VoLTE connectivity along with Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, A-GPS and other sensors that are required for the automation of the handset. There is a 3075mAh battery on the back and there is no information on the global rollout yet. Are you going to get this device?
