Huawei will be launching the Mate 30 series as the successor to Mate 20 series in the second half of this year. The company will be launching three smartphones under the Mate 30 series — Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and Mate 30 Lite. Now, the specifications of the Mate 30 Lite are leaked online. While the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will come powered by the rumored 7nm Kirin 985 SoC, the Mate 30 Lite is said to sport the newly launched 7nm Kirin 810 SoC.
The Huawei Nova 5 launched last week is the world’s first smartphone to come with this new chipset. It comes with 2x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.23GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.88GHz. The CPU is coupled with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU running at 820MHz. Talking about the Mate 30 Lite, it comes with a 6.4-inch punch-hole display and offers Full HD+ (2310 × 1080) resolution. The circular camera cut-out is said to be placed on the top left corner.
The leaked details revealed the device to sport 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We also expect it to be available in more storage options. Coming to the camera department, the Huawei Mate 30 Lite is rumored to sport quad camera setup on the rear and an in-display camera on the front. On the rear, we will be looking at a 24MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. For selfies, the Mate 30 Lite will come with a 24MP front-facing camera.
The device will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and might support 20W fast charging. It should be running on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9.1 skin on top. The company recently confirmed to release the EMUI 9.1 update for the Mate 20 smartphones in the next couple of days. Even the Mate 10 smartphones are guaranteed to get the EMUI 9.1 update in August this year. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
