Huawei has just launched the new powerful device, the Honor 6 Plus smartphone in India, with some super specs packed in, and boasting a special camera combination as well as a great battery life. The “Honor” brand is a separate entity, and has been selling phones in India since October 2014, on Flipkart.

The device is priced at Rs. 26499. Alongside this, the Honor 4X is launched at the price of Rs. 10499. Though, it is not known when it will be available for the purchase, as company hasn’t shared the details yet. We’ll update you whenever, the details are out.

The Honor 6 Plus comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, and along with that, the internal specs include HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core (quad-core Cortex-A15+quad-core Cortex-A7) processor paired with Mali-T628 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. Apart from that, the phone comes with a 16GB internal storage, a MicroSD card support for storage expansion, and the Emotion 3.0 UI layered over Android KitKat OS, which surely will be getting the Lollipop update later on.

Two important features of the Honor 6 Plus, are the special camera on the back, and the battery capacity of 3600 mAh. Huawei’s Smart Power” battery-saving patented technology comes with several features, including background process reminder if they are consuming power, situational awareness, unified heartbeat technology along with dynamic power control technology among others. There is a Super Power Saving mode included as well, which can give the users 24 hours of battery life on 10% battery life.

The power saving technology 2.5 gives the Huawei Honor 6 Plus about 30% more efficiency, and the 3600 mAh battery is said to be giving over a day’s usage to even the heavy users.

Next, the bionic parallel dual-lens camera that is first for a smartphone. It will be two 8-megapixel sensors offering the fastest focus, at 0.1 seconds, and also depth recording for capturing panoramas. There’s a special Vision Camera technology, that will help the two cameras allow twice the light to pass in, and even the low-light captures give an HDR effect.

Even on the front, the Honor 6 Plus has an 8-megapixel BSI sensor for selfies, and there will be a few software enhancements like 10-level auto face enhancements and Panoramic selfie for getting more fasces into the capture.

Huawei has set the launch date for its latest flagship, i.e. the Honor 6 Plus smartphone, and the device is going to be put on sale exclusively on the online retailer Flipkart, from March 24th. There were expectations that the phone will be launched later this month, and Huawei held a press event to highlight the features and the tweaks made for Indian users, while announcing the release date as well.

What we are still not told about, is the pricing in India. The Honor 6 Plus is available for CNY 1,999 in China, and that equates to around Rs. 20,000. But the current flagship Honor 6 was launched at the same price, thus we expect the Honor 6 Plus to be available for about Rs. 22,000.

Talking of the specs, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and under it, there is a HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset (Octa-core CPU, four Cortex A-15, and four Cortex A-7) along with 3GB of RAM. While there is 16GB internal storage, the device supports MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.0 version layered over it.

The interesting part about the phone is the camera combination, as Huawei has put in a Dual 8-megapixel camera module on the back, and on the front too, there is a 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The device has a battery backup of 3600 mAh, and it boasts a long battery life.

The Honor 6 Plus has some changes in the interface for the Indian users, and it would be interesting to see how the company has made the Emotion UI more intuitive and better for the specific region. Stay tuned for more details about the launch and pricing.
