Huawei GX8 to Launch in the US at $349.99 through Amazon & GetHuawei Store

Huawei has launched the mid-range Huawei GX8 smartphone for the U.S market, this is the same device that was earlier announced as Huawei G8 at the IFA 2015. It was already made available in selected Asian and European markets. The device comes with all metal body and almost a bezel-less display.
It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with a 2.5D glass laid on top of it. Under the hood, the device is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage while the G8 also came with 3GB of RAM variant that has 32GB of built-in storage.
The GX8 has a 13MP rear camera with OIS and sapphire protected lens that also includes unique features like food mode and makeup mode.On the front, it has a 5MP camera for capturing Selfies. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 overlaid; the Android 6.0 Marshmallow can be expected soon since the Mate 8 came with Marshmallow based EMUI 4.0 out-of-the-box.
It is backed by a 3000mAh battery that give decent battery life. Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also sports a second gen finger print sensor that will support shortcut gestures apart from unlocking the device. The GX8 measures 152.5 x 76.5 x 7.5 mm and weighs around 167 grams.
The device will carry a price tag of $350 and will be available within the next months. Huawei also unveiled the MediaPad M2 10 tablet with a 10-inch display and Android OS. Stay tuned for more updates!
