After announcing its latest flagship Mate S, Huawei has launched another high-end smartphone called ‘Huawei G8.’ The device sports the same 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display that was featured on the earlier launched Mates S.
It comes powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB/3GB RAM. The device with 2GB RAM comes with 16GB internal storage, and the 3GB RAM variant has 32GB internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
Coming to the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The battery of 3,000mAh keeps the device powered on. It runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop based EMUI 3.1. There is a fingerprint sensor included on the rear of the device for extra bit of protection.
The device supports 4G LTE along with other basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0. It will be available in the colors – White, Gold, and Black. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at 399 Euros (approx $450), and there is no information regarding the 2GB variant of the Huawei G8.
