Huawei Enjoy 9s & Enjoy 9e Smartphones Launched in China

A couple of weeks back, Huawei launched the Nova 4e mid-range smartphone with 24MP triple rear cameras and a 32MP single front camera. While the company will be unveiling the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro flagship smartphones tomorrow in Paris, it now unveiled two new smartphones at an event held in China. The new Enjoy 9s and Enjoy 9e will be limited to the Chinese market. The company is also launching the MediaPad M5 Lite tablet which was first unveiled at CES in January 2019.

The Huawei Enjoy 9s comes with a curved glossy finish body and very much similar to the recently launched Nova 4e. On the front, the device sports 6.21-inch Full View display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With the waterdrop notch, the display on this device offers 89% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it comes powered by the 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and Mali-G51 GPU.

The device comes in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage variants. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. Talking about the cameras, the Huawei Enjoy 9s sports triple camera set up on the rear featuring 24MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. The device comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and also supports face unlock.

On the other hand, the Huawei Enjoy 9e is a budget smartphone with a polycarbonate body. However, the Huawei Enjoy 9e in Gold color comes with the faux-leather stitched body. It comes with a 6.09-inch waterdrop notch with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution. However, it still comes with a powerful 12nm MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The device offers 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Talking about the cameras, the device sports a 13MP camera on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It lacks the fingerprint sensor but supports face unlock. Both the devices will be running on Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.0 out of the box. However, only the Enjoy 9s comes with GPU Turbo 2.0 support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi. Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

Coming to the pricing, the Huawei Enjoy 9e is priced at CNY 999 (approx USD 150 / INR 10,000). The Huawei Enjoy 9s with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1499 (approx USD 225 / INR 15,400) and CNY 1699 (approx USD 255 / INR 17,500) respectively.
