HTC One X9 (E56) with 2K Display & 23MP Camera Leaked, Priced at $472

HTC had launched two new mid-range Desire smartphones Desire 728 and Desire 828 along with the high-end One A9 in the last few weeks. Talking about the One A9, the design of the device is completely different from the earlier One series smartphones, it also looks more like the latest iPhone 6S. There are few details leaked over the popular Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo about the upcoming ‘HTC One X9.’

Update: According to Evan Blass, the below mentioned leaks are false & the One X9 i.e. E56 would feature a Mediatek SoC & 5.5″ FHD display & not the 2K display as reported earlier. Other specifications include a 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of Internal Storage, 13MP/4UP Camera Module along with a 3000mAh Battery. Based on these specs we can clearly see that there’s nothing extra ordinary about this upcoming Smartphone from HTC that was expected based on the Snapdragon 820 chipset & some high end specs earlier.

Earlier: As per the rumors, it comes with the model number E56 and will be powered by quad-core Snapdragon 820 or the deca-core Helio X20 SoC. The Snapdragon 820 will be officially launched on November 11th and the company also confirmed that many numbers of smartphone that been testing with Snapdragon 820. If everything comes out the well, the device using Snapdragon 820 will be launched in January 2016.

The device also has a 2K display of unknown screen size. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage options. On the back, it might sport a whopping 23MP rear camera and on the front we expect it to be the 4MP ultra pixel camera. According to the image tipped to us, the device comes with a metal build body and includes dual HTC BoomSound speakers on the front of the device.

It will be backed by the 3,500mAh non-removable battery. Few other sources suggest that the device will be launched with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage to make it more cost efficient. The device will be priced around 2,999 Yuan (approx $472 / Rs. 31,200). HTC has also seen growth in their profit in October.

The HTC One A9 that was announced earlier is now available for purchase in the U.S at a price of $499.99. Since the One A9 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, we also assume the rumored One X9 to come with the latest Android OS. While the details regarding the device aren’t confirmed by the company, take this with a pinch of salt. We will be updating the article once we have any more information regarding the device.
