Vivo is one of the fastest growing global smartphone brands. In recent times, it had launched few entry-level smartphones with decent build quality like Vivo Y15S, Y31, and Y27L. There are also mid-range devices like Vivo X5 Max and X5 Pro, but the company hasn’t announced the successor for 2013 launched flagship device Vivo XPlay 3S.
The Xplay 3S was one world’s first smartphone to feature Quad HD display, and this is also one of the few smartphones to feature a fingerprint sensor. It came with 6-inch 2K display and is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC. Now there are few rumors that the company is going to launch the XPlay 5S as the successor for XPlay 3S.
There are few images leaked over the internet suggesting the device to feature all metal body. If the rumors are to be believed, the device will feature a 6-inch display with 4K resolution and edge screen that was earlier seen on the Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. The Force Touch (or 3D Touch) is expected to be included
It is expected to be powered by upcoming Snapdragon 820 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There will be a 21MP rear camera and a whopping 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The fingerprint sensor that was introduced in the Xplay 3S will also be featured on the Xplay 5S.
While this leak doesn’t seem to be true, but there is another hand-ons image suggesting a full metal body and a gold color variant. On the back, we can find the rear camera with laser autofocus and dual tone LED flash. It also has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, and the speaker is expected to be at the bottom of the device. While these are based on rumors and none of them are confirmed by the company, take this with a pinch of salt. We will inform you with an updated article once there are any details regarding the devices from the trusted sources.
