HTC has making their devices naming more confusing like what Asus did with their Zenfone series smartphones. Till now the company had quite a few smartphones under the One series and now the company has added one more device to that series. The latest HTC One M9s is now launched in Taiwan and this is the same device that was launched in China as One M9e.
The design of the device looks same as the high-end One M9 but comes with cut-down specifications. It comes with an all metal body along with HTC dual front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers. It sports a 5-inch Full HD LCD display and is powered by Helio X10 octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM.
The device comes with 16GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 2TB via provided MicroSD card slot. Along with One M9e and One A9, this device shares almost same specifications and even the 13MP rear camera with OIS can be found in common. On the front, it has a 4MP ultra pixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The device is backed by a 2,840mAh battery capacity. It measures 9.6 mm thick and weighs 158 grams. On the connectivity front, it has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. While the One M9e is priced at 2,700 Yuan (approx $423 / Rs. 28,000), the One M9s is priced slightly cheaper at TWD 12,900 (approx $395 / Rs. 26,000).
Earlier today, the HTC India had sent out the invite for an event scheduled on November 25. It is expected to officially launch One A9 and Desire 828 on that day. There is no news about the launch of these new variants of M9 in India, but we can’t complete left over these devices.
