HTC Desire 10 Smartphone rumoured to be Cheaper variant of HTC 10

HTC‘s latest flagship HTC 10 is very weel designed device packed with powerful internals. But the company hasn’t made good sales out of this device. The company had actually launched two variant of HTC- HTC 10 & HTC 10 Lifestyle. While the HTC 10 comes powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC, the HTC 10 Lifestyle came with Snapdragon 652 SoC. According to Evan Blass, HTC will now launch a new smartphone called HTC Desire 10.
It will be cheaper than the HTC 10 Lifestyle and might also feature polycarbonate shell as seen on earlier Desire smartphones. The device will be launched sometime in Q3 2016. It might feature the same camera sensor as on the HTC 10 along with dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus. As of now, there is no much information about the device, but there will be more leaks in the coming days.
The HTC 10 is priced at Rs. 52,990 in India which is higher than the popular Samsung Galaxy S7. It came with a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super LCD 5 display. The device includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the HTC 10 offers a 12MP rear camera with laser autofocus and OIS, and a 5MP front camera along with OIS.
It came with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box; we can also the Android 7.0 Nougat update once it is released. Last year’s HTC One A9 was the first non-Nexus smartphone to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallows out of the box. The HTC 10 is also first Android smartphone to support Apple’s AirPlay out of the box. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 with the USB 3.0 Type-C port.
Talking about the Desire 10, we expect the device to be priced at Rs. 25,000; if it comes with the same internals as HTC 10 (or HTC 10 Lifestyle). At the same price range, we have the Xiaomi Mi 5 and OnePlus 3 smartphones which offer flagship specifications along with sturdy build quality. Stay tuned for more updates as the device is said to be officially launched in the next couple of months.
