How To Disable / Turn off My Magazine on Any Samsung Smart Phone

Now a day’s, Samsung’s all the premium devices have got a Magazine feature. This feature is present on the leftmost panel of the home screen and shows the details of news, science and technology, social updates, sports updates, etc., from various networks and news platforms. If you don’t like this magazine feature on your device, you can either disable it or else you can kill it completely.

How to disable “Magazine” on your device?

  • Step 1: Unlock your device and stay on the home screen.
  • Step 2: Press the back button for a long period or else long press any blank space on the screen.
  • Step 3: Swipe to the Magazine option on the screen.
  • Step 4: Uncheck the Magazine option on the screen by tapping on the check box in the magazine.

    • Magazine option is disabled from your home screen and doesn’t appear on screen.

    How to Kill “Magazine” on your device?

  • Step 1: Open the settings apps On your Samsung device.
  • Step 2: Scroll down to the Device section and click on Applications.
  • Step 3: In the newly opened list, tap on Application manager.
  • Step 4: Swipe over to All section in application manager.
  • Step 5: Scroll down to the Briefing option on your device and tap on it.
  • Step 6: Now click on Disable or Turn Off.
  • Step 7: Confirm about the option by clicking on the OK when the pop-up appears on the screen.

    • Now, Magazine feature is disabled on your device and you cannot access that on your Home screen. If you want to enable this option again, follow the same steps and click on the app in the disabled column in the application manager to enable that.

    Note: Magazine options are available on the devices by different names like My Magazine on Samsung Galaxy S5, Briefing on Samsung Galaxy A8.
