If you are a traveler, smartphones are sometimes as good as your computers for booking tickets, and also for making hotel reservations. While I’ve been using Android for years, Windows Phone too seem to be quite good with some apps, which help in checking for the hotels available at a particular location, and then booking while on the go.

Booking
Most of the frequent travelers prefer Booking.com as a choice for hotel booking, and the app is no different in this case. The app, just like the main website, gives details on when the last booking was done for a particular hotel. There is a dedicated user reviews section, so that the decision making gets easier based on personal experience of users. Our most recommended app for hotel booking, for Windows Phone users.
Makemytrip
This app has a good tabbed interface, where after you search and look for a particular hotel, the page has tabs for overview, photos, location, amenities, reviews and the room options to directly book the room from the app itself. it also has services for flight and holiday bookings. One of the best in the list for hotel booking.
Hotels.com
The Hotels.com app has a section to find hotels, other one for local deals where the best deals on hotels in current location are shown. Apart from the star rating, the app shows ratings to make it easier to choose the best hotel, and the hotel page has tabs for description, photos and the room details. A very easy-to-use and simple interface.
Ixigo
Ixigo is a beautifully build app for a very well known hotel and ticket booking service for all kinds of transport – flights, buses and trains. For hotels, you can easily search based on the place and then the page has some of the info, address, prices and amenities, along with user reviews. But for booking, you are taken to Agoda, Expedia or Makemytrip.
RoomsTonite
A very beautiful interface and a wide one, showing almost everything one would want to know about the hotel before booking a room. There’s an overview, pictures, features, terms and the map showing the location. To make it clear, there is a section showing about the inclusions in the room. And this isn’t a third party app, thus you can book it directly here.
Hotels 4D
The Hotels 4D app shows a map view of the location from where you are searching, and you can look for hotels from around the world. While on a particular hotel detail page, you are not given much info about it except for the star rating, and options to rate and review the hotel. For booking, you are redirected to some booking clients such as Booking.com and Expedia. Indeed, the client page shows photos, price and the features.
Agoda
Agoda is a well known name in the hotel booking industry, and the app is exactly helpful in the same. It has a full fledged booking interface, where the hotel details, photos, pricing and option to book directly. The hotels can be searched by name, place or using the map to pin down to a location to narrow the search.
Travel App
The travel app in Windows Phone that comes pre-installed, is basically MSN travel. It presents a very good interface for Hotel search, where the hotel page shows location on map, amenities, phone number, star rating and reviews apart from the description. But, there’s no direct way of booking and you will have to choose between one of the hotel booking services (including Kayak, Hotelopia, Agoda, Happyrooms, Expedia, Hotels.com, Venere and more).
Book a Room
This app shows a tabbed view of hotel info, photos, location, room options, and then lets the user book a hotel room right from the interface. The facilities, breakfast and cancellation info are properly mentioned before the user continues with the booking. Though there is a Map view to look for rooms based on the area, there is no option to sort the hotels based on pricing.
