Back in August, Honor India launched the Honor Play smartphone with GPU Turbo. It then came in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 23,999. While the Honor Play is currently available in Midnight Black and Navy Blue colors, the company now announced the new Ultra Violet color option. While it is already on sale in China and Southeast Asia, the Honor Play in Ultra Violet color will be on sale starting October 3rd.

While the company is also selling the Honor Play Player Edition in other Asian markets, there is no word about its availability in India. Talking about the specifications, the Honor Play comes with 6.3-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Honor Play is also the most affordable Kirin 970-powered smartphone in India. Apart from the powerful Mali-G72 MP12 GPU, the Chipset also includes a dedicated NPU.

Coming to the cameras, the Honor Play sports 16MP + 2MP dual cameras on the rear and a 16MP single front camera for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras support AI portrait mode and 3D studio lighting. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box. It is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery and also supports 9V/2A (18W) fast charging input. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
