Honor 8X with Kirin 710 SoC & 20MP Dual Cameras Launched for Rs 19,990 in UAE

Honor launched the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones last month in China. Now in Ocotber, the company is bringing the Honor 8X to the international markets. While it will be launched in India on Ocotber 16th, the company today launched it in Dubai for AED 999 (approx USD 270 / INR 19,990). We expect the company to launch the Honor 8X in India with an aggressive price tag.
The Honor 8X will be the first Honor smartphone to use the new Kirin 710 chipset. It comes with a glossy finish back body and sports a large 6.5-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution. With the 19:5:9 aspect ratio, the device will be offering 91% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it comes powered by 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.
The device comes in 4GB & 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage respectively. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box and supports GPU Turbo. In terms of optics, the Honor 8X comes with 20MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture and record slo-mo videos up to 480 fps.
It also comes with AI features like auto scene detection, AIS, and portrait mode. For selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI Beauty mode. The device is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery and supports Huawei Quick Charge technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
