Honor Band 4 & Band 4 Running Edition Fitness Trackers Launched

As teased earlier, Honor also launched the Honor Band 4 & Band 4 Running Edition fitness trackers along with the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones. The Honor Band 4 is the successor to Honor Band 3 and brings several upgraded features. Both the Honor Band 4 and Band 3 looks similar in design with the non-user replaceable band. Both the Honor Band 4s can be used for sleep tracking.
Honor Band 4
The Honor Band 4 with premium looking design comes in Black, Blue, and Pink color options. It sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED color display with touch support. There is also a 2.5D curved glass on the top. On the front, we can also spot a circular home button. It is backed by a 100mAh battery that is rated to give up to battery life 6 days of battery life with continuous heart rate measurement. In the standby mode, it lasts up to 20 days but only shows time and tracks step count.
With the Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, it can be paired with Android and iOS devices using the Huawei Health app. The Honor Band 4 support NFC for making mobile payments. It is also water resistant up to 5ATM (50 meters) underwater. Talking about the sensors, there is a 6-axis Gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor, and an infrared sensor. It measures 43 × 17.2 × 11.5 mm (body) and weighs about 23 grams. The Honor Band 4 can also be used for finding the paired smartphone or capturing selfies remotely.
Honor Band 4 (Running Edition)
The Honor Band 4 Running Edition comes with a few compromises to bring the retail price down to 99 Yuan. Firstly, the user replaceable band comes with running edition Honor Band 4 looks ugly. However, the Running Edition fitness tracker is also not lightweight and smaller when compared to the standard variant. The charging base can be used for attaching the Honor Band 4 Running Edition to your shoelaces. It sports a smaller 0.5-inch black and white OLED display.
While the body comes in Black color, the strap will be available in Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Purple color options. The running edition only features 6-axis motion sensor. It is also water resistant up to 50 ATM. The Honor Band 4 Running Edition also sports a smaller 77mAh battery that is mentioned to last up to 12 days of battery life. There is Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity but lacks the NFC support. The Running Edition measures 40.5 × 14.8 × 11.2 mm (body) and weighs about 6 grams.
While the Honor Band 4 is priced at 199 Yuan (approx $29 / Rs 2,000), the Honor Band 4 Running Edition with trimmed down features costs just 99 Yuan (approx $14.5 / Rs 1,000). Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
