Last month Honor 9X and 9X Pro smartphones were announced in Magic Night Black, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Red color options and now the new Flame Red Edition is going for sale in China starting tomorrow. The device is already going for sale in the country from 30th of July and now the new color variant is announced. The Flame Red Edition of the Honor 9X will be available in 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage which is priced at 1,399 Yuan, 1,599 Yuan, and 1,899 Yuan respectively. Global availability and pricing should be known in the coming days.
To remind you, the Honor 9X comes with a 6.59-inch IPLS LCD display offering 19.5:9 aspect ratio with Full HD+ resolution and also offers high screen-to-body ratio because of its notch-less design. Under the hood, there is a 7nm Kirin 810 processor while the Pro variant is powered with a Kirin 980 processor. Furthermore, the SoC comes with liquid cooling technology to dissipate heat generated while performing high-end tasks.
The device comes with a 48MP main camera on the rear along with a 2MP secondary depth sensor while on the front we can find the 16MP pop-up selfie camera. The device comes with TYV Rheinland certified display that protects users from detrimental blue rays emitted from the screen. Out of the box, it will come with Android 9 Pie operating system with the companies own EMUI 9.1.1 on top. To extend the storage Honor has also provided a microSD card slot.
There is a 4000mAh battery on the handset without the support for any fast charging technology. It comes with GPU Turbo 3.0 technology for the enhanced gaming experience. There is a fingerprint scanner on the side of the device along with Ai facial unlocking system.
