Huawei Mate X to be Powered by Kirin 990 SoC, Could launch by the End of 2019 – Details

The Huawei Mate X smartphone was first announced at the Mobile World Congress 2019 that was held in Spain earlier this year. The device is also the companies first foldable smartphone and the launch of the same has been delayed a couple of time already. According to the latest report, the Mate X is going to be powered with Kirin 990 SoC and will be featuring Triple Cameras like the Huawei P30.

Furthermore, the launch of the device has been delayed again and now will be going for sale from November 2019. The foldable devices have been in the news form almost a year now and none of them have been seen in the market even months after the initial launch. Initially, the launch of the Mate X was delayed to June form May and then it got postponed to September and now it goes to November.

The device is also said to be coming with triple rear cameras setup like the Huawei P30 series and will be using a new RYYB sensor instead of the RGB that will be offering battery performance in the low light conditions. Recently the Huawei Mate X visited TENAA again that revealed that the handset is now 300 grams in weighs instead of the 287 grams that was listed earlier even after the dimensions remaining the same.

The device will be coming with a design which the company calls as “Falcon Wing Design” which will be coming without any visible gaps or hinges as we have seen with Samsung Galaxy Fold. Furthermore, Huawei claims that the hinge system used in the phone is patented and has over 100 components. To remind you the Mate X will come with large 8-inch OLED display which offers 6.6-inch and 6.38-inch displays when folded.

It will be powered with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and even after being a dual SIM variant it will be supporting 5G only on SIM 1. The second SIM slot can be used to insert an NM card to extend the storage. Since it comes with the 7nm Balong modem, it will support 5G connectivity. It will be coming with dual built-in batteries which offers a total capacity of 400mAh and will come with the support for SuperCharge fast charging technology.

Moreover, the device will come out of the box with Android 9 Pie operating system with the companies own 9EMUI 9.1.1 on top. It will be featuring triple camera setup and to remind you the Galaxy Fold comes with a total of six cameras.
