Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had a good start this year with the launch of its Honor View 20 smartphone back in January. Apart from the top-of-the-line specifications, the flagship Honor View 20 featured a punch-hole display that beheld the front-facing camera, which further lead the company to achieve an all screen display without any notch on the front. The launch of the Honor 10 Lite, Honor Magic 2 and the Honor 10i smartphones later followed. In addition to the current Honor smartphones’ line-up, Huawei sub-brand has yet released another smartphone in Russia – the Honor 8A Pro.
The Honor 8A Pro is the new premium mid-range smartphone from the company that shares an identical design element of what we have seen on the earlier released Honor 8A smartphone. Digging into the specifications of the Honor 8A Pro, it comes with a 6.09-inch HD+ display (1560×720) pixel resolution. Under the hood, the Honor 8A Pro is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor. In terms of storage, the device features 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which further expandable upto 512GB via micro SD.
As for the cameras, the Honor 8A Pro comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash that has an aperture of f/1.8. Up front, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter as well. Both the cameras support video recording of up to 1080p. The Honor 8A Pro features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device ships with Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out-of-the-box.
The Honor 8A Pro is kept alive by a 3020mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the Honor 8A Pro supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. And, as for the pricing, the Russian Honor website showcases the Honor 8A Pro for 13,990 (approx Rs 15,000). The availability and official pricing in India are yet to be known.
