Honor View 20 With 48MP Rear Camera & Kirin 980 SoC Launched in India

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its new flagship of this year – the Honor View 20. The company had also launched its new wearable – the Honor Watch Magic alongside its flagship phone. The View 20 has been earlier released as Honor V20 in Chinese market couple of weeks ago. It was first showcased at CES this year. It is Honor’s new offering with a world’s first punch-hole display that sits on the top left of the screen and beholds the front-facing camera. The build of the Honor View 20 is interestingly new and looks better than gradient colors finish. Honor has put in an Aurora Nanotextured back that resembles a ‘V’ shaped gradient that appears according to the surrounded lighting.
Digging into the specifications, the Honor View 20 features a 6.4-inch All-View FHD+ Display with a punch-hole cut out on the top. It is powered by Huawei’s latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 Dual-NPU AI-powered chipset, which is supposedly the world’s first 7nm chipset. The device features 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of onboard storage. The device also comes with the company’s GPU Turbo 2.0 graphics processing technology, and the View 20 also features NINE Liquid Cooling System to control heat during extended gaming sessions.
On the camera front, the Honor View 20 features a 48MP rear camera along with 3D ToF camera with an aperture of f/1.8. It is powered by AI Ultra Clarity, 3D Motion-Controlled Gaming and also has more than 1500 scene recognition scenarios. The rear camera is capable of 4K UHD video recording and slow-motion video recording of upto 960fps. On the front, the punch hole carries a 25MP selfie shooter with an aperture f/2.0 and features portrait mode. The primary camera also features Honor’s AI-powered AIS Super Night Shot for capturing better images under low lighting conditions.
The Honor View 20 is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery that also supports 5V/2A Honor’s SuperCharge technology as well. The phone ships with Honor’s Magic UI 2.0.1 OS, which is compatible with Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie. As for authentication, the device features a fingerprint sensor on the rear, it additionally features face unlock as well. On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and features a 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB Type-C (USB 3.1), and an IR blaster as well.
As stated, the Honor View 20 has launched in two variants – 6GB/128GB that is priced at Rs 37,999 and, the 8GB/256GB variant that comes at Rs 45,999 The View 20 features in three colors – Phantom Blue, Sapphire Blue, and Midnight Black variants and will be sold in India as Amazon Exclusive and on Honor India website for online purchases and for the offline, users can head to Reliance Digital stores to grab the new flagship.
