Honor 8A with Waterdrop Notch Screen and 3020mAh Battery is now Official

The Honor 8A which was confirmed to be launched on 8th January has been launched officially now in China. The Device is now listed online with all its specifications. As we know the handset will be coming with a Waterdrop notch display on its 6.09-inch display and will be powered with MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. Furthermore, it will be coming with a 3020mAh battery with the support for 5V/1A charging. The device has been priced at 799 Yuan in China for the 32GB variant and will be available in Magic Night black, Platinum Gold and Aurora Blue color variants.

Earlier: Honor is going to announce its Honor 8A smartphone in China on the 8th of January and the pricing of the same should be known on the launch day. Huawei’s Honor has mentioned that its upcoming smartphone will be launched on the mentioned date and this is the same device which was certified by TENAA last month with the model numbers JAT-TLOO and JAT_ALOO. The handset is expected to come in Blue, Black, Red, and Gold color options and nothing is mentioned about the global rollout as of now.

According to the rumored specification of the Honor 8A smartphone, it will be featuring a 6-inch (1560 × 720 pixels) HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display with a waterdrop notch. Furthermore, it is expected to be powered with an Octa-Core MediaTek processor with 2.3GHz clocking speeds coupled with 3 GB of RAM and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Out of the box, it will be coming with Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the companies own EMUI 9.0 on top.

This dual SIM variant smartphone will come with a dedicated microSD card slot which can be used to extend the memory up to a maximum of 512GB as the onboard storage is limited to either 32GB or 64GB. On the rear, we can find a 13MP single rear-facing camera with LED flash and on the front, we can find an 8MP camera. More details on the same should be revealed at the launch event.

The handset measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0 mm and weighs 150 grams. There are other connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.2, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS + GLONASS, A-GPS and few more that are required for the automation of the device. We can also find a 3000mAh battery on the smartphone to power it. These all are still rumored and we need to wait a few more days to get the official confirmation from the company.
