Honor 8 Pro Android 9 Pie Based EMUI 9 Starts Rolling out in India

Honor has started rolling out Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9 update to its Honor 8 Pro smartphones in India. Along with it, the users will also be getting March 2019 Android Security patch and the same has been announced on the companies India Forum page. The size of the update is 3.49GB while it weighs 343MB for the users who are enrolled in the beta programme and the firmware version will be 9.0.1.163(C675E6R1P5).
The users need to wait for the update to hit their device since it is being rolled out over the air in phases or if you won’t wait for it, you can always go to the settings of the device and clock on the About phone section. Now tap on the System updates to see if there is an update available for the device which should be downloaded. Once the update gets the downloaded, make sure the device is having enough charge on it, preferable minimum 60 percent and do back up all the important data before the installation.
According to the changelogs, the update will bring all the goodies of Android 9 Pie along with a new interface, natural sound system, AI object recognition, simplified setting, smart shopping along with password vault. The update Will also make the laugh times of the apes faster and along with it the Huawei Share 3.0 will also be included that will let the user transfer files between printer, phones, and computers at a faster rate.
Talking about the phone, the Honor 8 Pro was launched about a year back in 2017 with 5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 pixels display. It came out of the box with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is powered with an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 960 16nm chipset. Furthermore, the handset was made available in 4GB as well as 6GB RAM options along with 64GB of onboard storage that can be extended further.
The Honor 8 Pro has a 12+12 MP camera sensors on the rear with PDAF and laser AF along with dual-LED dual-tone flash, Panorama, and few other features.
