Earlier this week, Huawei’s Honor has posted a teaser image for the launch of a new smartphone called Honor 20i on April 17th in China. From the image, we can confirm the Honor 20i to come with a waterdrop notch and 32MP AI selfie camera. Today, the company has completely revealed the first look of the device. Looking at the device in the above-featured image, we can confirm it to be the same Honor 10i which was recently launched in a few Asian and European markets.
It will be available in Black, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Red color options. The company will be taking pre-orders for the starting April 15th, two days ahead of the official launch date. As seen on the newly launched Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones, the mid-range Honor 20i also comes with a 32MP selfie camera. It sports a 6.2-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
With the tiny waterdrop notch, the device will offer higher screen-to-body ratio. Much like the mid-range Honor and Huawei smartphones, the Honor 20i also comes powered by the in-house 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor featuring 4x Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.7GHz. It comes coupled with Mali G51 MP4 GPU and includes GPU Turbo technology for enhanced gaming performance.
The device might with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage on this device. Talking about the cameras, the Honor 20i sports triple camera setup on the rear featuring 24MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint scanner.
It measures 154.8 x 73.64 x 7.95 mm and weighs 164 grams. Just like the other foreign markets, the Honor 20i might also launch in India as Honor 10i. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
