Finally after a long wait after the Google I/O 2016, Google has officially launched the Allo Messaging app that comes with some features that are inspired from iMessage. The self-learning app would keep a note on all the information you feed it and follow up with the same once there’s a question next time asked in the application. Definitely, this is a new concept for most and hence it would need a few weeks of usage to understand the app & get started with the Google Assistant feature. The application is now available on the Google Play Store for download that we have tested here in India & works perfectly with verification done within seconds.

Earlier: The Mountain view giant announced their new messaging app Allo during their I/O 2016 event couple of months back in summer. Now the company is going to officially make the application available on Sept 21st, as posted by Evan Blass, the popular leakster. It would be coming up with Google Assistant & Smart Replies features. It was recently that Google released their video chatting service Duo on Play Store.

At the Google I/O 2016, Google introduced a new messaging app called Allo. It will be available starting from next month for both Android and iOS. Earlier to Allo, Google had Hangouts and Messenger for messaging, but the newly announced app comes with built-in Google Assistant which was also introduced on the same stage. Apart from the messaging, the Allo uses the assistant right in the same chat for sharing media or buying things.

Now the Google Allo will compete with the Whatsapp and Messenger from Facebook along with Telegram, Line, WeChat, and others. The Allo can be used with a mobile number without requiring Google account, though not all the features will be available without adding Google account. The messages in the app will be encrypted however, the incognito mode makes the chat end-to-end encrypted.

The Smart Reply feature suggests few options which might be a possible answer. With more and more usage, the app becomes more smarter which in return makes the suggestions more relevant. The Ink feature helps in doodling the photos right on the chat screen before sharing. Along with the emojis, the Allo also includes exclusive stickers designed by 3rd party designers from all over the worlds.

Apart from the messaging personal contacts, the user can have a one-on-one chat with Google Assistant. The ‘Whisper Shout’ is the most innovative feature, it can change the text size just by swiping up or down the send button for getting attention. The company also announced the one-on-one video calling app called Duo that was developed to work better with even slower data connections.
