Gionee S6 with 3GB RAM and USB Type-C Port Officially Launched at $266

As announced earlier, Gionee has officially launched the Gionee S6 smartphone today in China. The device is priced at 1699 Yuan (approx $266 / Rs. 17,500) and comes with high-end specifications. It comes with a premium metal build and also includes USB Type-C port that was first introduced with the Gionee S+ that was recently launched in India.
It sports a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display and is powered by the 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor. The device includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot that can also accept a MicroSD card instead of the second SIM.
Talking about the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and PDAF that can focus in just 0.1 seconds. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera with gesture capture and wide angle lens. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI overlaid. The 3,150mAh battery on this device can give 18.8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 342 hours on standby. It will be available in the Gold and Platinum colors. The device measures just 6.99mm and weighs 148 grams.
