Amazon Kindle with 6-inch Glare Free Touch Screen Launched in White Color

Amazon had launched the White color variant of its popular e-book reader Kindle in India with a price tag of Rs. 5,999. This the same Kindle that was launched in September 2014 in Black color. It is also the smallest and most affordable Kindle ever launched by Amazon; it comes with a 6-inch anti-glare e-ink display with a pixel density of 167 ppi.
It is equipped with 20% faster processor than its predecessor along with increased storage and battery life. The tablet also includes unique features like built-in Dictionary, Vocabulary Builder, Word Wise and few others. It includes Wi-Fi for connecting the tablet to Kindle store. The Kindle weighs just 191 grams and measures 10.2 mm thick.
The battery on this e-book reader lasts for weeks on a single charge. While the internal storage is limited to 4GB, the company offers free cloud storage for all the Amazon content. The new white Kindle will be available online from Amazon.in and offline through retail outlets across India.
Talking about the Kindle eBook store, it is one of the world’s biggest eBook store with over three million titles. Over half a million titles are priced under Rs. 99 while 1.5 million titles are priced under Rs. 299. The company is also offering Kindle Unlimited plan for Rs. 199 per month that gives an unlimited reading of over one million books.
