Gionee S6 with Metal Body & AMOLED Display Confirmed in Official Posters
Gionee is all set to launch the S6 smartphone on the November 16 and now there are two new posters published online suggesting the design of the device. Last month we had exclusively reported about the launch of the device, but there is no other information regarding the specifications. From the official poster images, the design of the device resembles the GN9010 model that was listed on TENAA.
The device comes with a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. It will be powered by the MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo UI 3.1.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The device has a 3,150mAh non-removable battery that can easily give a minimum single day of usage. The device measures 151.9 x 74.6 x 6.9 mm and weighs just 145.2 grams. It supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot that can be used as a MicroSD card slot instead of the second SIM.
The device measures just 6.9mm and comes built into a metal body that gives a premium look. Recently the company had also launched all new Gionee S Plus in India for Rs. 16,999. This is the first smartphone from Gionee to be launched directly in India. The specifications of the both S Plus and S6 looks almost similar; the only difference is the RAM and the design. The S Plus comes with 3GB of RAM while S6 is expected to sports 2GB RAM. Stay tuned for more updates.
