Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) To Be The First Tablet To Ship With Bixby, Leaked User Manual Confirms

Samsung is quite obsessed with Bixby, which is their personal assistant. Well, it is not necessarily a bad thing, however, it is definitely limited when compared to Google Assistant and hence users often find themselves using the later. Despite that, the company is doing everything in their power to push the product. This is evident from the fact that has literally put a dedicated physical button for the same, which they don’t even allow to remap with anything else.

And now, on the same lines, we have yet another report which tells us that Bixby will now make its way to the tablets as well. Yes, and the first one to sport the assistant will be the 2017 Galaxy Tab A 8.0. The same has been confirmed by the leaked user manual. Well, if you have been following the news lately, then you probably already know that this particular tablet is in development for quite some time now.

The tablet was previously spotted online a couple of times, where we got to know few specs of the same. And now the leaked user manual tells us that it will ship with Bixby assistant out of the box. However, do make a note here that the tablet will ship with just Bixby home and not Bixby Voice. If you don’t what Bixby home is, it is a page which shows all the contextual cards just like Google Now. And Bixby voice is the new feature which just rolled out globally and it allows you to talk to the assistant to get things done.

As far as the rumors are concerned, it looks like the tablet will be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 427 processor and this will be coupled with 2GB of RAM. It looks like it will also have 16GB of internal storage and we hope that this will be expandable as well via a microSD card. In terms of the optics, it looks like it will have an 8MP rear-facing sensor, whereas, on the front, there will be a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter. The recent benchmark website spotting tells us that it will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Talking about the launch of this tablet, it has been reported that it will go official at TFA 2017 show floor in Berlin later this month. Well, we hope to learn more about it later in coming days along with the alleged new smartwatch. Having said that, be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details on the same.
