Apple had announced the iOS 10 today at the WWDC event that is held every year with thousands of developers joining the event. At this year’s event, Tim Cook had announced some amazing numbers around the App Store including a total of 2 Million Apps & a total of 130 Billion downloads to date. Nonetheless, the iOS 10 that was announced is already available to the developers who can install it and also ensure their applications are compatible with the same. If you own an iPhone, iPad or an iPod touch you can also download the iOS 10 beta 1 update on your phone. To get started you need to head over to the Apple’s developer Program website and begin the download of the iOS 10 firmware. Do make a note that this is available to a limited few compatible devices, that you need to first verify and then proceed. In short if you own the 4″ iPhone 4s you won’t be able to install this update, but that said its a 5 years old device that could be easily phased out by now. The public release will happen in fall, though there’s no final date mentioned by Apple, though before that you can install the developer update experience all the features of iOS 10.

Once you sign in as a registered developer you shall find the beta 1 firmware that can be downloaded directly onto your phone or the other Apple devices. Do make a note that most of these firmware’s are sized around 1.4GB & you would need a high-speed connection to download the same.

If you do not have the dev account you can still download. First, download this provisioning profile to your iPhone and install it. Next, you shall get the download links onto your iOS device, restart and you are done. Head over to Settings > General > Software update & the Beta 1 download OTA update will be shown on the screen.
