I haven’t been fan of Samsung’s My Magazine/Briefing service on its Galaxy devices, when I was using the Galaxy Note 4 Edge as my primary device last year, it was one of the most annoying things on the home screen. I tend to keep my apps on home screen only, and with no continues scrolling feature present it was only natural that I would swipe left from the first home screen, and would be welcomed with the Flipboard-based magazine.

In earlier versions of TouchWiz UI, it was easy to find the settings to remove this feature, but with new upgrades based on Android Lollipop it is not quite easy to find the settings for it. So, to make it easier we have made this tutorial on how you can disable the My Magazine / Briefing on Galaxy Note 5. We have mentioned two ways, first method would allow you to completely remove the feature from home screen while second would only disable the feature. Go with the option that you want.

Note: Samsung earlier use to call its Flipboard magazine as My Magazine, but the nowadays company has renamed it to Flipboard Briefing.

First Method :

How to remove the Briefing Magazine column from the home screen?

  • Step 1: Unlock your device and stay on the home screen on your device.
  • Step 2: Press and hold the back button for few seconds.
