Android Marshmallow is the latest version of the Android that comes with many interesting and hidden features when compared to that of its previous versions i.e., the lollipop & KitKat. The developer preview of the version was launched in the month of August for the nexus devices. But now Google has released this version for all the devices where the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P are the devices coming with Android M out of the box. After the release of this update all the brands have started focusing on the Android 6.0 update and you can check our list of devices that would be coming with Android M by the end of the year or in early 2016.
As the name suggests marshmallow it comes many hidden features which are unknown to the users. Though the device comes with stock experience it comes with a hidden file manager, App permissions and tiles customization option on it.
If you are using any of the Nexus device with Android 6.0 and wondering about the quick settings customization then you can follow the below mentioned steps to customize the tiles on your device.
Step 1: Open the Notification panel and press the settings cog until it start rotating and release your finger after 5-6 seconds.
Step 2: After the release of your thumb, the System UI Tuner is activated on your device and can be found in the System section in the Settings window of your device.
Step 3: Now open the settings from the app drawer/notification panel and head over to the System section and tap on System UI Tuner.
Step 4: The system UI tuner comes with four options, i.e., Quicks settings, Status bar, show embedded battery percentage, Demo mode. Now click on quick settings.
Step 5: You can see the list of tiles appearing in the notification panel. Now drag the tiles among themselves to re-arrange them or else you can add more tiles by tapping on Add tile option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: If you want to reset the option on your device then tap on the three dotted button and click on reset.
The tiles will be arranged to the default order.
Note: The customized tiles will be appear only if the system UI tuner option is enabled on the device. If you disable this option, the tiles cannot be customized and will come to the default mode.
