In December last year, Coolpad under LeEco introduced a new Cool series smartphones by launching the Cool1 Dual smartphone. It came with high-end specifications along with metal built body. At that time, the device is priced at Rs. 13,999 and is exclusively sold through Amazon India. However, it is now retailing at Rs. 12,999 making it a good alternative for mid-range devices like Redmi Note 4 and Honor 6X. Now, the company launched a new variant of the Coolpad Cool1 Dual with 3GB RAM instead of 4GB. It will be on sale exclusively through Amazon India starting tomorrow for Rs. 10,999.
Apart from the 1 gig lesser RAM capacity, there are no other changes to the newer and the earlier launched variants. The device sports a 13MP RGB sensor and a 13MP Monochrome sensor on the rear. With the dual-lens camera, the user can capture photos with DSLR-like Bokeh effect. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. Along with 3GB of RAM, the device also includes 32GB of internal storage. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calls.
The Cool1 Dual still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the LeEco’s EUI 5.6 on top. On the top edge, we can find the IR Blaster that can be used to control the home appliances just like the remote controller. With the all these powerful specifications, the device is kept powered on by a 4000mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support that can charge 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes. The device also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity for faster data speeds and HD voice calls.
Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C. Just below the rear camera, we can find the fingerprint sensor that is mentioned to unlock the device in just 0.15 seconds. While the Cool1 Dual with 4GB RAM comes in Gold and Silver colors, the 3GB RAM variant might also come in these two color options. While the Coolpad Cool1 Dual with 3GB RAM goes on sale in India from tomorrow, on the same day, LeEco is launching a new smartphone in China. Based on the rumors, we might see the launch of Le Max 3 smartphone with dual camera setup on the rear.
