Earlier this week, we reported that the new Cool1 smartphone, which is the first smartphone from the LeEco-Coolpad joint collaboration will be launching this month, however, we didn’t have an exact date. Now looking at the teaser image, it can be said that the device will be launching on August 16th. We don’t have any other new specs for this device as of now.

It is expected that it will skip the 3.5mm headphone jack and instead will be offering the CDLA earphones to be used with the USB Type-C port. LeEco Le 2 also had the same solution for this. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Earlier: Coolpad and LeEco are launching a new smartphone as their first joint collaboration. While it is not officially launched yet, we have a close look at some of the specs of the smartphone in detail and also its name which is confirmed officially via a teaser. The smartphone appeared on TENAA, showing off the first looks and the some of the specs. The device is called the Cool 1 and is expected to launch in the month of August this year.

In terms of specs, we are looking at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM. It will also have a 64GB of onboard internal storage. On the front, we have a 5.5-inch quadHD display. Other hardware specs include a dual-camera setup and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The device will be powered by a 3500 mAh battery. These are the specs of the smartphone available at this point in time and we will surely be seeing more of this in the near future.

But looking at the specifications of the device, it appears to be of flagship standards and mostly will be competing directly the smartphones like Huawei P9 and the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi Pro. As you can see from the image, we have a look at the front and back of the device, showing off its display on the front and the dual-camera setup at the back. The front of the device resembles the newly launched LeEco Le 2 as well. And at the back, we can take a look at the dual-camera setup one below the other along with the fingerprint scanner. However, we don’t know the exact specs of the camera or the details about the sensor types etc. But according to the reports, these dual camera sensors are supplied by the Koren manufacturing giant Samsung.

We can expect more smartphones from both the companies with this collaboration if this one does well for the company. Talking about competition, Xiaomi’s newly launched Redmi Pro packs some serious power. It comes with a 5.5-inch OLED display and will also sport a dual camera setup with 13-meagpixels and 5-megapixel sensors. The Redmi Pro will be available starting August 8th.
