After launching the Zenfone 2 Deluxe in India and Brasil, it was now launched at IFA 2015 for the other international markets. Earlier Asus launched the ‘Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition’ in Brasil with a mammoth 256GB of internal storage. This is the first smartphone to feature such a huge internal storage, earlier US-based Saygus has announced the ‘Saygus V2‘ at CES 2015 with a 320GB of storage, out of which only 64GB is internal storage and rest 256GB can be added via two microSD card slots.
The rest of the specifications between ‘Zenfone 2 Deluxe’ and ‘Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition’ remains same. The company hasn’t announced the pricing of the Zenfone 2 deluxe in other markets. In India, the 64GB variant is priced at Rs.22,999, and the price of 128GB variant hasn’t been announced yet.
The textured diamond-cut back design on the back of the device gives the devices a premium look. Both the devices also follows the same design language of the original Zenfone 2, with the volume rocker on the back of the device and the power button at the top. It comes with dual SIM dual standby support.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe is a high-end device with almost same specifications as of the Original Zenfone 2 which features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with a pixel density of 403ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes in two variants, with 64GB and 128GB internal storages.
The 64GB variant comes powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz while the 128GB variant is powered by 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 Processor. Both the variants equipped with same PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
Coming to the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with dual tone flash and a 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens for wider selfies. The device also includes microSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby and comes with 4G LTE connectivity (only on SIM-1).
There is also a non-removable 3,000mAh battery on this device with ‘Asus BoostMaster’ fast charging technology that can charge the upto 60% in just 39 minutes. It runs on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop based ZenUI on top it.
The other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPA/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9 mm and weighs 170 grams. As of now, there is no information about the pricing and the availability of the device.
