Asus Launches Zenfone Max M1 & Zenfone Lite L1 Budget Smartphones in India
Earlier this year, Asus launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone with an aggressive price tag in India. The flagship Zenfone 5Z is also the most affordable Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone at that time. Today, the company is launching two Zenfones in the Indian market called as Zenfone Max M1 & Zenfone Lite L1. These two new Zenfones will be competing with the other low-cost smartphones including Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Realme C1, and the newly launched Lenovo A5 smartphones.
Both the Zenfone Max M1 & Zenfone Lite L1 sports metallic finish polycarbonate body. From the front, both the new Zenfone devices look exactly the same. While the Zenfone Max M1 costs Rs 6,999, the Zenfone Lite L1 is priced at Rs 7,499 (introductory pricing). At a slightly higher price, the Zenfone Max M1 offers better cameras and a bigger battery than the Zenfone Lite L1. Additionally, the Zenfone Max M1 also comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
The Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 come with a 5.45-inch IPS display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. With the FullView display, the device offers 82% screen-to-body ratio. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top. Both the devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The device will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo with Zen UI skin on top.
While the Zenfone Max M1 offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the Zenfone Lite L1 comes equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card on both the devices for storage expansion. Coming to the cameras, both the devices feature the same 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens, and PDAF. While the Zenfone Max M1 sports an 8MP front camera, the Zenfone Lite L1 sports a 5MP sensor.
The front and rear cameras on both the devices come accompanied by a LED flash. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Zenfone Max M1 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter. On the other hand, the Zenfone Lite L1 offers a smaller 3,000mAh battery with 5V/1A (5W) power adapter. Since the Zenfone Lite L1 lacks the fingerprint sensor, the company added face unlock support.
Both the devices will be available in Black and Gold color options. The device will be exclusively sold through Flipkart in India. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
