Apple Next-gen iPads Rumored to be Featuring New 10.2” and 10.5” Screens

This week, Apple had sent invites to its upcoming event on March 25th. The invite had explicitly mentioned ‘it’s showtime’ and presumably it is believed that Apple is geared up to launch its much-anticipated video streaming service alongside the Apple News’ new subscriptions as well. While the invite doesn’t hint us about any other products launch on 25th, it is expected that Apple would be launching its hardware products including – new iPads, next-gen AirPods, and the long-awaited Air Power Charging dock as well.

Regardless, earlier reports suggested, the 7th-Gen iPads would be retaining the headphone jack and Touch ID as it is supposed to be a cost-effective variant targeted for the education sector. That being said, there are some new developments regarding the iPads that have come up on the web – thanks to the tipster on Twitter named ColinX. The tipster initially was known for predicting last year’s iPad Pro models alongside revealing the names of the iPhone XS, Xs MAX and the iPhone XR models prior to the launch.

Citing his new prediction, he has revealed some interesting details regarding the upcoming iPad models. ColinX confirms that two iPad models carrying 10.2-inch and 10.5-inch screens are set to be coming this year but not at the same time. Further, he had referred the 10.2-inch iPad model as the new iPad 7, which surprisingly means a 10.2-inch screen would replace the current 9.7-inch model. Furthermore, he had also revealed there’s a new iPad lined up to launch with a 10.5-inch screen, which is also a non-Pro version since Apple already has the Pro version that was unveiled last year.

Though these leaked screen sizes can be assumed as rumored dimensions the accurate release dates of these iPads is yet to be known. If the rumors are believed to be true, we can expect at least one of these iPads to be unveiled at the next scheduled event on March 25th by Apple. So, what are you expecting from the upcoming event from Apple on 25th of this month? Do let us know in the comments and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
