We are just rounding up the rumours for this year’s iPhones, which is scheduled to launch on September 7th, and we already have some of the reports claiming the possibility of an Iris Scanner on next year’s iPhones. Well, this doesn’t come as a surprise to us since we already hear a lot about this 10th Aniversary iPhone. Yes, it is too early to discuss anything about these iPhones, but definitely, this kind of reports cannot be ignored.
According to the new reports that we have today, a company called Xintec will be mass producing its Iris scanner chips next year. New orders for iris recognition sensors include those for the chips that will be embedded in the 2017 series of iPhone. These Iris Scanner chips will be the ones that are expected to go inside the 2017 iPhone handsets. So if this happens to be true, then we should see the next year’s iPhone sport an Iris Scanner as well.
Currently, there are a couple of smartphones in the market already that sports an Iris Scanner. The most recent one being the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. However, these are just initial rumours about the device, and as mentioned earlier, it is way too early to start speculating around these devices. But it is safe to say that Apple is at least working on something new here, unlike this year’s iPhone.
Talking about this year’s iPhones, we are going to see two iPhones this year. We also have some leaked prices for the upcoming iPhones. So make sure you check it out if you want to get an idea of what these devices will cost you if you want to purchase them. Stay tuned for more info this as we will update the story once we have more details on the same.
