Get the Latest Software Update

Disable Animation Settings

Go to, ‘Settings>About Phone> Build Number’ and tap few times on the build number until the developer options are enabled.

Now, you can check for these options under your device settings. Open the ‘Developer Options’ and scroll down to find animation settings where everything will be pointed to 1X by default. So, now you can either turn them off or reduce them to 0.5X. Once done, you can feel the change instantly in the performance of the device. At anytime, you can revert to the old settings by reversing the process.

Uninstall Pre-installed Apps

The device in your hand seems to have few pre-installed apps, and you might have wonder how these apps got on your phone. These are the apps which will be installed in the device by the manufacturer before the release. So, every new phone will come out the pre-installed app out of which few will be bloatware which causes battery-draining and over-heating problems. So, you have to uninstall all such apps from the device or disable them to improve the functionality of the phone.

Avoid Live Wallpapers and Widgets

Remove App Cache and Wipe Cache Partition

So, you need to clear the cache of the apps by opening each app under ‘App Manager’ and tapping on ‘Clear Cache’.

There is a way to clear the whole cache from the device too, and that can be done via recovery mode. To get into recovery mode, turn off the device and press volume up and power button. Keep pressing the volume button until you see the menu and then select ‘English’. You can use volume buttons for scrolling up and down and power button for confirming the selection. Now, select and confirm ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ after which go for ‘Reboot system now’.
That’s all, entire cache from the device will be cleared.

Factory reset

If you are device is extremely slow then you can perform the factory reset to enhance the performance of the device. Before performing this task, you need to take the backup of data as this process will erase all the data from the device. Now you need to get into recovery mode as explained above. Next, select and confirm, ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and then ‘Yes—delete all user data’. After the completion of the process, go for ‘Reboot system now’ and that’s all; you will have a brand-new device in your hands.

The other way to perform factory reset is by tapping on ‘Settings>Backup & Reset> Factory data Reset>Reset Phone’. This will erase everything on your phone, and you can see the change in performance of the device.

Few additional tips

By following few other precautions, you can easily boost up the device performance. Always remember to turn off the WiFi and Bluetooth connections whenever not in use. Make a habit of adjusting the brightness and rotation of the screen manually instead of going for auto-settings.
